Folks I saw or met on the trip

I took a ton of pictures while I was out west. Some of the pictures are of folks I'd never met before, and will probably never meet again. This page will show those folks and a bit of info about why I took the pictures.

The cute kids and the deer

Click on either of the above pictures to view a full sized image that you can download and print. The full-sized version of the top picture is 150k and the full-sized version of the bottom picture is 93k.

We were at the visitor area in one of the national parks and several of the Mule Deer allowed people to get very, very close. I was in a position to take a picture of these two kids while their parents scrambled around to find a camera and take a picture. I told the folks that I'd put the picture on my web site so that if they wanted to download and keep the image, they could.

I think that bottom picture would look great as the background image of a magnetic-backed dry erase calendar (in case you didn't notice, that is a blatant commercial plug for my home-based business, Customized Creations). I can put the picture in the background of a 10" x 16" magnetic-backed dry erase calendar that you can put on your refrigerator. The calendars would run $19.95 plus shipping. There is, of course, no need to buy the calendar to get the picture - just click on either one of the pictures to go to the full-sized version of the picture, and then download the picture to your hard drive (right-click your mouse on a Windows machine or Option-click your mouse on a Macintosh machine).

If you'd like to consider buying magnetic-backed dry erase boards with the pictures shown above, send an E-mail to me, Rob Fish at rob@ccreations.com

Houston's Trail's End Restaurant

We first ate at Houston's on October 31 - Halloween. We walked in to get breakfast, and found the waitresses all dressed in Halloween costumes. Our attention soon was diverted from the costumes to the high quality of the food and the immaculate cleanliness of the restaurant. They serve lots of good food that is reasonably priced. When we went back the day after Halloween, we discovered that the folks at Houston's take the western motif very seriously. When you enter the restaurant, you have to check your guns and holsters and the only people allowed to wear side-arms are the waitresses.
