Paula's nephew, Joe Bauer, had these comments to share during the memorial service:

The first short saying I would like to share today is an old Eskimo Legend:

"Perhaps they are not stars in the sky, but rather openings where our loved ones shine down to let us know they are happy."

I know Paula would want you to be able to look up in the sky and know she is still looking down on all of you with Love. And I know Paula will want all of you to know she is finally at peace and to be happy for her. She would want to say this poem to you:

" Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a 1000 winds that blow, I am a diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight of ripened grain: I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush - of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars shine at night. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there! I did not die!!!"

We know Paula will still be with us because "A life that touches the hearts of others lives forever." Paula, you touched many lives. We love you.
