MS Walk 2002

Carrie and Sarah decided to take Paula with them and do the MS Walk in 2002. Paula got very excited when she learned that if she got over $100 in pledges, the MS Society would give her an MS Walk tee shirt. The girls (Carrie, Sarah and Paula) decided their goal would be to bring in enough pledges for all three of them to receive tee shirts.

That picture up there was taken by Sarah. Carrie is pushing Paula. Sarah's friend Lauren is next to Carrie, and Lauren's sister is the other person in the picture.

The MS Society thought the 2002 MS Walk was a huge success because of the number of participants and the amount of money raised. As you can see, the MS Society had almost 2,000 folks walk in the 2002 Walkathon.

Paula and her "team" contributed to that success. Paula was one of only 51 people in the "High Steppers" club - a group of folks who raised $500 or more for the 2002 MS Walk.

Paula wasn't at all excited when her name was published in the newsletter with the other members of the "High Steppers" Club.

She was, however, all bubbly when she talked about the people she walked with, the folks she met along the route, the dogs she saw along the route, and, most of all, the food she ate.

Paula was really looking forward to participating in future MS Walks, and I think she was even planning on sharing some of the food with Sarah's dogs (who were supposed to be in the next walk).

We'd like to once again thank everyone who contributed to the MS Society in Paula's name. We really appreciate it.
