Session Outlines
Week 3 - Focus continues on trapping, dribbling and passing, with emphasis put on making your teammates look good and showing to the ball.

Warm Up
- Top of the Ball, 100 touches.
- Side to Side, 100 touches.
- Side to Side, Push out & Pull in, 100 touches.
- Dribble facing sideways, dragging ball under sole of foot.
- Dribble across field, touching the ball every step with alternate feet.

Warm-Up - Dribble along line using "Fingers of the Feet"
Description: Start where the halfline meets the touch line and dribble along down the painted line on one half of the field. Use only right foot along first line, left foot along second line, right foot on third and left foot on fourth.
Alternating inside and outside of the foot, move the ball back and forth of the line as you dribble. This week, add some emphasis on shaping your body as touch the ball - like you were making a "cut."
Long term goal is to touch the ball each time your plant foot touches the ground.

Dribble in Straight Line

Description: First with eyes closed. Then with eyes open for speed.

Pass the Ball & Join the Other Line
Benefits: Improved trapping, Improved passing, Learning to move to the ball, Learning to follow the ball after passing, improved fitness.
Description: Emphasize getting back behind the cone so you can run onto the ball.
Long Term Goal: Being able to easily switch between 1 touch, 2 touch and 3 touch passing while running through the ball.

Ways to Pass & Shoot
Demonstrate three ways: Inside of foot; Shoelace with knee over ball; Shoelace from side. Review position of plant foot.
Break into groups of 2, 3 or 4 and make long, 2-touch passes/shots to each other (remember to run to meet the ball).
