Once upon a time
I
think I heard somewhere that Grandfathers are supposed
to tell stories to their grandchildren. Welp, now that I'm
a grandfather (I think they'll be calling me "Gramps"), I thought
I'd give a shot at telling a story...

Allison
Chapter two of the "Me & My Cousin" story (which will cleverly
be called "Chapter 2 - The Other Cousin Arrives!") and
more photos will be coming soon, but for now,
here are a few pictures of Allison:

Carrie's due date i s still a few days away. We're hoping that,
like Sarah, she'll have the baby before her due date.

About robfish.com
If your name was available as a domain name, would you register
it? As you've no doubt guessed, I would and did - it makes it real easy for me to remember my E-mail address.
There are two sections of the robfish.com site that most folks seem to enjoy. The links to my "Lint Collection Page" and and my "Soccer Complaint" section are at the very bottom of this page.
Years ago (way back before my time), there was a radio
show called "This is Your Life." Follow
this link if you'd like to read a poor man's "This is
Your Life" about me. It will tell you
tons and tons and tons more stuff about me than you ever cared
to know....unless you're my mom (and she already knows all
this stuff).
Hey - that's me. Right there on
the right. I'm doing a video conference thing through the internet. Ain't modern technology wonderful?
See the plaque on the wall behind me? The bronze looking thing?
That's a copy of my Fluid Power Society "Fluid Power Specialist"
certificate. It says something about "Rob knows hydraulics."
And on the right edge of the photo - the thing that looks
like a picture? It is really a reprint of a full-page article
that ran in "Hydraulics & Pneumatics about a hydraulic
system I designed to raise and lower a 10' tall x 300' long wall
of glass at Scioto Downs race track here in Columbus, Ohio. Imagine
that - my system published in my industry's #1 magazine. Pretty
neat, eh?
When Paula's MS reached the point where she couldn't be left alone for long periods of time, we decided to try and make a go of a home business so I could work from the house and take care of her. Follow this link to Customized Creations, our home business.
Fishy Stuff
Paula
's Death

Paula,
in her
wheelchair, waiting for Chris to come around the
corner so she can
nail
him with a "super soaker" squirt
gun. Kids
will be kids.

On
February 18, 2003, two days after her
50th birthday, Paula died
suddenly and unexpectedly due to complications
from multiple sclerosis.
I'm
making a www.paulafish.com web
site, but it is coming along pretty slowly.
Please check it out if you'd like to
know more about Paula and how we've been
coping since her death.

Carrie and Chris got a tree this year, so we had the challenge of finding not
one, but two perfect Christmas trees.
My definition of a perfect Christmas tree includes being close to the car, small enough to handle, and under $15.00. Once again, my preferences in a Christmas tree were completely ignored.

Paula, Sarah & Carrie managed to talk Chris into
wheeling Paula over every bump and gully in the 13 acres
open at the tree farm.

Christmas season - cutting down the tree(s)
Brian said "we NEVER would have gotten away with something like that when we were kids. Heh - just practicing for when we have grand kids.

Thanks to everyone who helped Paula raise some money for the MS Society. Click Here for pics and details.
We had 19 people at the house for Thanksgiving. It was a ton of fun - thanks to all the hard work everyone else put into getting our house cleaned up and getting the food ready. Click here to see the pictures.
My kids and sister got together and sent me out west on vacation. Here are some of the pictures from Day 1 & Day 2 of the trip. Thanks all - I'm having a GREAT time!
Vacation Day 6 Pictures
A bunch of small vacations pictures I put together real quickly for Carol
A couple of cute kids and some deer - while we were at one of the national parks, some mule deer came up to the visitor's center. I took two pictures of a couple of kids near the dear. The pictures came out pretty nice. Click Here to see them.
Paula's nephew, Adam Replogle, got married March 24. Click Here to see the pictures we took.
If you took pictures at the wedding that you'd like me to add here, please send them along and I'll be happy to put them on thepage.
Oh...it turns out we aren't the only ones with a business on the web. Check out http://www.blackbirdemb.com to see what one of Paula's cousins is doing.
As time allows, I'm building an Alumni Web site for Whitehall Yearling High School. In addition to some senior pictures and class reunion info, the site includes a history of the school and a copy of the Ramble article that first revealed the existance of a swimming pool under the gym floor. Check out http://www.wyhs.org
A Digital Christmas - December 2000.
Each of the kids got their own domain names for Christmas. Isn't modern technology wonderful?
Chris - chrisfish.com
Brian - brianfish.com
Sarah - ooops - Sarah never did anything at all with her domain name, so we let it lapse.
And my Mom got one too! - lilafish.com
Sarah and TJ got engaged on her birthday, November 18, 2000. Plans are for them to both complete college before they get married. I need to take some pictures of that ring and the radiant couple!
When I was a wee little tyke (years and years ago),
we spent most of every summer at the Aquamarine Cabana Club. I've
been trading E-mails with a friend from back then, Barb Archer, and
she's suggested getting in touch with folks and maybe having an "Aquamarine
Reunion." So I've started putting together an
Aquamarine web page. If you follow the link from the Aquamarine
web page to the bios, you'll get to see my high school senior picture.
Yahoo!
One of Paula's nephews got married. I've put together
a page which has some pictures from the wedding reception. Paula had
a great time. She got to see her mom and dad, her sister, and all
three of her brothers, which made the wedding a very special event
for Paula. Follow this link to the
pictures.
HydraulicRepairs.com - February 5, 2000
I bought a new domain name. Going to have
a directory of repair shops on it, and hopefully get companies to
pay to be listed there. Here's the draft of the site: http://www.hydraulicrepairs.com/
Snowfall - January 20, 2000
Snowfall on January
20, 2000. Includes QuickTime movie of our puppy and a picture of our house.
Tree Fall - January,
2000
Welp, after Christmas, someone has to take down the
Christmas tree. This year, it was no trouble at all, thanks to the
fine folks at UPS. Yeppers, that's right - if you follow
this link, you'll see how United Parcel Service helped us get
our tree down.
Christmas,
1999
If you follow
this link, you'll find a page that may take a few minutes to load
- there are over 15 pictures on the page. I tried to keep them small,
but it is soooo hard to decide what to cut out when it comes to pictures
of Chris, Brian, Sarah and Carrie. Pictures of me, on the other hand,
are REAL easy to crop. Remove the belly, and you've got a very small
picture.
Chris
& Carrie get engaged - December 7, 1999.
Follow this link for the big news of
the day....errrr...the week....errrr....the month....errrr..the year. The big event is in August of 2001.
Chris
is hot stuff - October, 1999
Chris and his roommates made the news in
October of 1999 when their apartment caught on fire. Follow
this link to video clips from the local news coverage and some
pictures of the aftermath.
WYHS
Alumni Marching Band - September, 1999
I'm pretty sure that when I was in high
school I could march, play my alto, and breath - all at the same time.
Follow this link to a page on my wyhs.org site about my
experience playing with the Alumni Marching Band in October, 1999

Give me two cans of Mountain Dew after 11 at night, and you never
can tell what might spill out of my keyboard. You can read anything
I elect to put on the web site by following the link(s):

Signs & Photos - Some cute stuff that has come my way.
Welp, that's about it for my robfish.com web page. Hope you found it
somewhat entertaining, if not enlightening.
P.S. - If you haven't already done so, please take a minute to browse through my lint collection and the "Soccer Complaint." Just so there is no misunderstanding - both are pieces of fiction, possibly the result of too little sleep and too much caffeine.
